A Little History

“I am HIV positive and my ten year old son is HIV positive. I have seven other children. I am sick.”  This quote came from a woman who shared her pain during February 2009 at the first Beauty for Ashes retreat in Manzini, Swaziland.  It was a story that echoes thousands of other women across Africa. Beauty for Ashes

There is a movement of God on the earth that is calling women into the reality of who they are and into the healing and freedom that was always intended for them.       Beauty for Ashes is a part of that movement.   Beauty for Ashes is an opportunity for women to be restored to wholeness through Jesus Christ.  We aim to provide women with safe communities worldwide where they can exchange their ashes of isolation, shame and wounds from the past for the crowns of beauty that God promised us in Isaiah 61.  The vision of B4A is to see restored women of all nations...

Beauty for Ashes is both a program and an event where we will walk women through their story, using the Holy Spirit and community to bring healing to the areas that haven’t yet been brought to the light. Drawing from past experiences we will encourage them to hear from the Holy Spirit about how God wants to redeem the dark parts and give the women a hope and a plan for the future. These seminars will incorporate three major parts. The first being that a woman’s story is powerful, we believe that when a woman comes to share her story that healing will take place as the Holy Spirit...
