Beauty for Ashes is both a program and an event where we will walk women through their story, using the Holy Spirit and community to bring healing to the areas that haven’t yet been brought to the light. Drawing from past experiences we will encourage them to hear from the Holy Spirit about how God wants to redeem the dark parts and give the women a hope and a plan for the future.
These seminars will incorporate three major parts. The first being that a woman’s story is powerful, we believe that when a woman comes to share her story that healing will take place as the Holy Spirit sheds light on the dark places. The second is community, we believe that when women come together and support one another anything is possible. The final part is a hope and plan for the future, after the women experience these retreats our hope is that with God and community they will tap into their God-given destiny and through partnership of local ministries give them the tools that they need to succeed.
Furthermore, while abroad we want to make this a special event for every woman involved. We plan on taking them away for a three-day retreat and romancing them. This will include journals, a Beauty For Ashes manual, candles, delicious food, accommodation and the fees it would take for a woman to be away from her work as a bar girl. We anticipate having to raise $1,000.00 per Beauty For Ashes retreat.
